It contributes to confirm a suspected pathology rapidly. The overall aim of this course is to give you the advantage and knowledge when it comes to upper abdominal as well as pelvic ultrasound. To be able to perform a pelvic ultrasound examination one needs to understand both transvaginal and transabdominal techniques, as well as the common pelvic abnormalities that may be encountered while performing a scan.
This course is appropriate for sonographers, radiographers, Medical Doctors, Intern Doctors. Delegates should have an appropriate medical qualification and have access to an ultrasound scanner to improve upon their ultrasound skills.
Blended learning approach consisting of online teaching & learning as well as 1-day face to face contact tuition sessions.
Participants will be assessed by MCQs on the theoretical component and practical assessments, both for which a minimum pass mark of 70% needs to be obtained.
Accredited according to the HPCSA’s Medical and Dental Board Guidelines for Healthcare Professionals for 23 CEUs on Level 2.
To qualify for the certificate of completion, delegates have to complete and pass the online course content as well as successfully complete the hands-on assessment process.
