Introduction

The legal and regulatory framework in South Africa is complex. Combining the legal complexity with the complex field of ethics can be challenging. It is essential for healthcare providers to be knowledgeable about the legal framework that govern their ethical practice.

Considering that the law in essence represents the minimum ethical behaviours of human beings, these two spheres should compliment one another, instead of opposing one another.

This course will equip you with the necessary tools to understand the SA legal system and how it factors into your practice as a healthcare provider.
