Introduction

Professionalism encompasses the knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and behaviours expected of individuals during the practice of their profession (WHO). The role of health systems in providing care for the global public especially in times of global epidemics, are becoming more important. A health system comprises of all organizations, institutions, and resources whose primary intent is to improve health. The Coronavirus has highlighted the importance of global public health issues. In particular, the role of health systems in providing care in times of pandemics has attracted major public scrutiny.

The burden of injuries in different settings, and of issues associated with measurement and surveillance of injury needs deeper understanding from health care professionals. Public Mental Health includes: mental health of the populations, epidemiology of mental disorders including gender based violence.

The burden of disease from diabetes and cardiovascular disease from a public health perspective increased the demand for healthcare systems to respond more sufficiently to global health emergencies.
