Some ethical problems might be straightforward, but many are complex and may involve analysis and a re-evaluation of one’s value system and moral foundation. As the healthcare industry evolves due to global driving forces, the doctor will increasingly be challenged in making business decisions without compromising professional ethics. This course is intended to provide participants with an appreciation of the need for continual reflection on the ethical dimension of medicine and how to deal with everyday ethical issues in their practices.
This course will equip you with a way to evaluate honesty, transparency and respect for the patient within the clinician’s own conscience and moral principles. It will provide you with the necessary tools to navigate ethical quandaries in patient care effectively.
