Understanding the business environment is critical to the success of any business. It is important therefore, for Healthcare managers to gain the business knowledge that will inform strategic management decision-making within their individual practice. This qualification has been designed for healthcare managers who do not have the time to do an MBA. The exit learning outcome of the AdvCert (Health Management) is to enable participants to apply management principals on a strategic level in organisations within the healthcare environment to optimise health in SA.

Your course material with assessment guide will be posted/couriered to you after we have received your registration form and deposit. All course material and videos of each module will also be available on the support website.
The Advanced Certificate in Health Management is provided in an online education format enabling participants to complete the programme at their own pace within the prescribed period provided. Participants will receive comprehensive and user-friendly study material covering all the modules.
Students will be assessed by means of both formative and summative assessments. With a minimum of one written assignment per module and one overarching Portfolio of Evidence based on the Action Research Methodology.
The admission requirement is an NQF Level 5 qualification.
The AdvCert (Health Management) is a formally registered and accredited qualification, registered on the NQF as a level 6 qualification for 120 Credits.

Students will receive an AdvCert (Health Management) for if they successfully complete all the individual tests, assignments and submit a Portfolio of Evidence underpinned by the Action Research Methodology.

Step 1: Apply for enrolment
You will be required to complete and submit and application form for enrolment, together with supporting documents, please note there is a non-refundable R 300.00 application fee. Please note that by signing the Application Form and submitting the supporting documents you indicate that you understand that, should your qualification(s) be found to be misrepresented or from a degree mill, then your name will be included in the Register of Misrepresented Qualifications and Providers operating outside of the South African NQF (RMQP). You will also not receive the qualification.

Once you have submitted your application, along with all supporting documentation, you will receive correspondence from FPD regarding the outcome of your application.
Step 2: Apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Credit Accumulation & Transfer (CAT)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Applicants aiming to enter the FPD proposed programme may already be working in a management context and/or have gained knowledge as a result of learning in the workplace and in other settings. If this applies to you, you can apply for RPL by providing testimonials/reference letter from previous or current employers. The testimonials/reference letter must include the number of years worked and your responsibilities/duties.
Credit Accumulation & Transfer (CAT)
Students who have previously successfully completed relevant modules, courses or programmes at FPD or another institution and who wish to have such modules, courses or programmes recognised by FPD should apply for CAT.
The following supporting documentation is required to be submitted:
You will receive correspondence from FPD regarding the outcome of the CAT.
Step 3: Registration and Payment
Successful applicants will also receive an invoice from FPD, in order to make payment. A 10% non-refundable registration fee is required upfront. As a student you have the option of paying the remainder of the fees at the start of each quarter or alternatively you may also pay for the entire qualification in advance.
Once proof of payment has been received, you will receive an acknowledgement letter with a link for you to register on the FPD Student Portal.
