Having the structure and process to create persuasive proposals gives you an edge in any position, especially as a leader. Generating income through winning proposals is sought after by every business in the globally constraint environment. Honing your skills and building your confidence in writing winning proposals and presenting persuasive presentations will no doubt be the key to many opportunities for you.

This short course is designed to develop your ability to present ideas and business solutions in a coherent and compelling way.  To win more customers, clients and contracts by communicating effectively and structuring our communication to persuade and course will help you build a winning proposal from scratch.

Learning Outcomes

Once you have completed all the learning activities for this course, you should be able to:

  1. Describe how to tailor written communication to inform, evaluate and persuade.
  2. Differentiate characteristics of good proposals versus bad proposals.
  3. Explain the Key Success Factors of good proposals.
  4. Explain the structure of a persuasive proposal built on the NOSE approach.
  5. Produce a persuasive business proposal, including executive summary, using the NOSE technique.

Course Design

This is an eLearning course built on the prescribed reading from Tom Sant’s Persuasive Business Proposals and will be made available to you as part of the tuition fee in the form of an e-book. Additional learning material, video tuition and exercises will form part of the course to help you apply the new skill and incorporate it into your business toolbox.

  • Preparing to write a persuasive proposal
  • Writing a persuasive proposal
  • Presenting to Persuade

Assessment

Participants will be assessed through means of a self-study assessments in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire, various exercises as well as a written assignment. A pass mark of 50% is required to be successful.

Certification

Once you have passed the final assessment you will be awarded a certificate of completion from Foundation for Professional Development.

Course Duration

The content takes 15 hours to complete in total and you are provided with access to complete the course in a maximum of three months.
